Science EXPOsed
Families and teenagers are invited to take part in a fun day of discovery at Science EXPOsed 2009. For the first time, this exciting annual science careers event is open to the public on Saturday, 31 October 2009. Discover more about science through hands-on experiments and workshops with some of Australia's leading scientists. Explore how maths could stop the spread of pandemics, use light to create your own picture of the universe, and experient with some clever, defensive plants. Perfect for families with children interested in science (aged 11 to 15 years).This is a day for young people to experience what a career in science could be like.

Workshops are free with Museum admission. In a very special offer, Industry & Investment NSW is giving away 30 family passes to the Powerhouse Museum for people attending Science EXPOsed. About Science EXPOsed
Science EXPOsed is a free event for Year 8 & 9 students to explore the latest in science and technology and learn more about careers in science.
This annual event has been running since 2004 and gets bigger and better each year. More than 1600 school students attend the event which is held at key Macquarie Street historic landmarks in Sydney's CBD District.
Science EXPOsed introduces students to the myriad of possibilities of a career in science as well as uncovering the truth that science can be fun, cool, inspiring and it can change the world!
The event features a wide selection of interactive exhibits, workshops, science shows, panel discussions and competitions for students to participate in. There are also many hands-on experiments such as learning how to solve crimes using DNA and forensic evidence, exploring the wonders of cryogenics, creating electronic circuits and exploring the wonders of science in movies from blue screen to 3D technology.
Science EXPOsed 2009 will be held on Thursday, 29 October, Friday, 30 October and Saturday, 31 October.
Registrations are now open. Bookings for 29 and 30 October can be made by the program or through the online form. Bookings for 31 October can only be made through the online form.
