OSMR Travel Scholarships

The NSW Office for Science & Medical Research has established a dedicated fund to assist NSW researchers to attend national and international conferences identified by OSMR as being of strategic and commercial value in order to build capacity and increase NSW’s competitive edge in priority areas of research and commercialisation.

Applications for support to attend conferences will be issued by OSMR over the course of the 2007-2008 year for designated events in areas of strategic priority, including:

  • Clinical trials
  • Complementary medicine
  • Stem cell research & commercialisation
  • Sustainability technologies

General requirements

Selection criteria are tailored for each event. However, common requirements for all applications are that:

  • Scholarships will only be made available to researchers in publicly funded institutions who have the support of their institute/agency head; and
  • Successful applicants will be required to provide a report and participate in forums to ensure the knowledge and experience gained is shared and informs current/future projects and initiatives and/or facilitates the development of networks and collaborations.

Current scholarships offered

Applications for travel scholarships to the International Society for Stem Cell Research Annual Meeting 2008 have now closed. This page will be updated when other travel scholarships are available.
