Conference and Event Sponsorship

The NSW Office for Science and Medical Research makes available each year a small amount of funds to support conferences and events. The following sets out the criteria for applications, assessment processes and requirements for successful applicants. 

Funding deadlines:

Applications for 2008 Rounds 1 & 2 have now closed. Deadlines for subsequent rounds are to be advised.

How to apply

Organisations and individuals seeking funding support from the NSW Office for Science and Medical Research should complete the Application Form. Alternatively, applicants can forward a pre-established sponsorship prospectus.

Assessment Criteria

The application will be assessed against the following criteria:
1. The conference/event aligns with OSMR corporate priorities and strategic relationships. 
2. The application provides value for money in terms of profile, target audience and anticipated outcomes/benefits. 
3. The applicant can demonstrate that the conference/event is a financially viable proposition.

Conditions of funding

1. The applicant meets the conditions set by OSMR in relation to publicity and acknowledgements.
2. The conference/event is held in premises accessible to people with a disability and provision is made for accommodating needs of participants with a disability (e.g. hearing loops).
3. OSMR receives a report on outcomes within four months of the event.
