Science Exposé competitionThe Science Exposé competition is an annual, state-wide competition open to NSW students from Years 7 to 10. The competition aims to encourage students to think about the potential for science to impact on their future. Science Exposé forms part of Science EXPOsed. The competition is run in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education and Training. Science Exposé builds on the current Years 7-10 syllabus. Science teachers are encouraged to set the competition as an assessment task. The competition is designed to facilitate outcomes 4.1 to 4.5 and 5.1 to 5.5 in the science Years 7-10 syllabus. The Science Exposé 2009 competition closed for entries on 28 August 2009. The winners for this year's competition will be announced shortly. The winning entries will be the ones that best communicate how the chosen scientist's work may be applied in the future. There are two divisions in the competition: Division One: Open to students currently enrolled in Year 7 or Year 8 at any NSW-based secondary school. There are two categories in each division: Category One: Multimedia (Video, web site, PowerPoint or PDF presentation) All entries are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the guidelines.
